2020-11-10 - Phasing out support for Windows 32-bit OS

The Emma support for Windows 32-bit operating systems is about to be phased out. As of February 8th 2021 the 32-bit operating systems will no longer be supported. From November 16th Emma users on 32-bit operating systems will receive a heads-up warning about the 32-bit OS soon to be unsupported. Any Emma user on a 32-bit OS is recommended to migrate to Windows 10, 64-bit as soon as possible.

A new way of proxy handling was introduced in this release. In case of network issues user can configure the proxy used by Emma through "Internet options" (available on login screen or after login through tools->preferences->Internet options). Try the different settings (where "Use Windows internet options" is preferred, but if that doesn't work try "No proxy" or "Manual proxy configuration"). When using "Manual proxy configuration" fill in the same values as set in windows internet options or as provided by local IT admin.

Reinstalling Emma without keeping downloaded services
1. Restart computer.
2. Uninstall Emma.
3. Download and install Emma. (http://software.sonymobile.com/emma/)
4. Start Emma.

Reinstalling Emma and keeping downloaded services

1. Restart computer.
2. Move (or copy) db and localstorage folders from Emma installation folder to a temporary folder:
- For example C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony Mobile\Emma\db to C:\tmp\db
- For example C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony Mobile\Emma\localstorage to C:\tmp\localstorage
3. Uninstall Emma client.
4. Download and install Emma but DO NOT START EMMA until step 6.

5. Move (or copy) db and localstorage folders from temporary folder to Emma installation folder:
